I am working on GUIs in Matlab. In order to make my code efficient I intend to plot fft of time samples on an axis using OOP

Have a read here and here. It will greatly improve your chances of getting an answer.

Remember that a GUI is only an interface. The rest of your code should already be working. For general advice and examples for how to create a GUI (and avoid using GUIDE), have look at this thread.
