Problem with figures in MATLAB - figures are full of glitching pixels

6 次查看(过去 30 天)
Hello!
I have recently discovered a problem, and it only occurs when I make figures in MATLAB. Whenever a figure appears, there are weird glitchy magenta lines on top of it (the figure can still be seen beneath those lines though). These lines move a little whenever I resize the window or zoom in on the figure.
I have no clue what problem this could even be - is the issue with MATLAB or with my video card? My laptop is a little old, I have radeon R5 M430 graphics and Intel Pentium processor with 4 Gb memory, but it is weird that this issue, as far as I know, does not occur anywhere else. Video games still work fine, video files run with no problem.
I use MATLAB R2019b and would really like to not uninstall it and then install a new version, if possible.
See image attached for visual.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can offer advice.

This is the best screenshot of the year 2021. Thank you.
  • Did you update the graphic drivers?
  • Does this occur also, if you use the software renderer for OpenGL? Try:
opengl software
opengl hardware
opengl hardwarebasic
  • Did you install all updates of Matlab R2019b?
  • There is a red dot in the icons for the updates of the OS. Maybe the installation of a fresh graphics driver crashed?
  • Did you have contact to extraterrestrial life forms? The entities from Vega B use a similar notation. Maybe they are waiting for your answer.

Jan, you truly are the real MVP!
OpenGL worked and now my figures are back to their normal boring ways! Thank you so much!
P.S. Hopefully all those aliens I sent my credentials to won't be offended at me ghosting them...

You are welcome.
I've called them and explained your communication problem. The next time, they will contact you in ASCII.
