Does the Data Acquisition Toolbox™ allow users to read NI Shared Variables?

The Data Acquisition Toolbox™ supports a variety of NI data acquisition hardware. Is is also capable of reading NI Shared Variables? If not, this seems like a good capabilty to have. I would use it. Having the abillity to access Shared Variables would be yet another way to acquire data from NI-based systems (in contrast to using hardware and DAQmx drivers).

I acknowledge your inquiry concerning the compatibility of the Data Acquisition Toolbox with NI shared variables.
The documentation for MATLAB's Data Acquisition Toolbox, does not specify the support for National Instruments (NI) shared variables. On looking at all available resources, I have not found any support for this feature in MATLAB.
It is possible that National Instruments may offer an interface that facilitates the use of shared variables within MATLAB. I would recommend consulting the documentation provided by National Instruments for any potential solutions or interfaces that could bridge this functionality gap.
