graph format for Applied Physics Letters Journal papers

Hi,
does anyone know if there is an approved format for Matlab created graphs in Applied Physics Letters journal papers or if we are just supposed to eyeball it?
If it's the latter case, then does anyone know how to change the axes formats?

There is a page with guidelines / rules for Applied Physics Letters manuscripts. If you have further questions about those guidelines you'd probably want to contact the journal directly.
