Why does lla2flat() return a negative altitude?

Example:
>> lla2flat([47.1168 -88.5394 161.5260], [47.1167 -88.5393], 0, 0)
ans =
11.1173 -7.5890 -161.5260

Dereck - check the Algorithms section from lla2flat: The flat Earth z-axis value is the negative altitude minus the reference height (href).
Since your reference height is zero, then the z-axis value is simply -161.5260.
