Having Unrecognized function or variable (name)

I am having a Error in my code as-
Unrecognized function or variable 'keyGen'.
Error in BEProj (line 2)
subKey = keyGen()
The code which I am trying to run is-
clc; clear all; close all;
subKey = keyGen()
save('subkey.mat','subKey');
load('subkey.mat');
[y_1_0, y_2_0, y_3_0] = generateParamY(subKey);
[x_0_1 x_0_2 x_0_3] = generateParamX(subKey);
[epsilon, mu, alpha_1, alpha_2, alpha_3] = generateParam(subKey);
newper
df
decry
INVPER
INVIMAGE
Can anyone please help me solve this error ?

Note that the assigned variable value for keyGen() has to be predefined or initialized before assigning its value to another variable.

Actually the code is of before 2 years and I had got this code from friend of mine but when I am trying to run the code its showing error and I dont have a much knowledge of matlab. I have attached the code file can you please have look at it and help me with some exact change that i need to do. The series of code to follow is-
  1. BEProj, 2. newper, 3. df, 4. decry, 5. INVPER, 6. INVIMAGE
Or can you convert this code in python, with help help of matlab compiler and share it with me as I dont understand matlab.
