Problem with value boundary problem bvp4c

Hi, I need to solve a two value boundary problem with a state vector 14x1. Can I use bvp4c or bvp5c even though not all boundary values are defined, since part of the state is unconstrained? Maybe I could split the state in constrained and unconstrained part but the integration of the "constrained" part depend on the "unconstrained" one.
