accessing each item in one workspace variable

hi everyone
i have a code results in workspace, one of the variables name A has 6000 items , i need to go through each item in A , in order to use it in a mathmetical equation how can I do that
please help

What exactly do you mean? Do you mean you have a vector called A:
A=rand(1,6)
Or do you mean you have 6000 variables whose name starts with A:
A1=rand,A2=rand,A3=rand,A4=rand,A5=rand,A6=rand
