How to plot the matrix values in the form of a slice plane?

I have the following matrix:-
V=rand(4);
I want to create a plane at x=10 in 3D which contains the value of the above matrix in the form of colors.As V is a 4x4 matrix, so the plane I need should contain total 16 cells having different colors.

surf() and pcolor() plots data at the vertices of the mesh. A mesh with 3x3 faces has 4x4 vertices. Tools like image(), imagesc(), and imshow() plot data at the centers of the faces.
