Absolute sinus function in data fitting tool

1 次查看(过去 30 天)
Hi,
I am using the curve fitting tool for statistical analysis on a data set that shows somewhat of a absolute sinusoidal function. By using the 'sum of sine' on 1st degree I can try to fit a sinus function, but I can't manage to put a absolute sinus function in the 'custom equation' box. I tried.......a*abs(sin(b*x+c))........and.........a*|sin(b*x+c)|....... but it doesn't work. Even when i try to fit a normal sinus function in the box (exactly the same shown in 'sum of sine' it doesn't show the same result as 'sum of sine'. Does anybody know how this can be fixed?
Thanks!
Edward
