Separate object from image in matlab

Hi,
I stuck at my study now.
I have one example image.
From this image, I would like to required to remove:
-the roof -the window -the door -the wall -the smoke bay
by creating an appropriate mask and multiplying it with the Fourier Transform of the image.
How can I do this? I tried to searched from other tutorial but none of them able to help me. I need your help please.

I'd probably use morphology with wisely chosen structuring elements. Attached is an FFT demo that reduces ripples in a file. Adapt as needed.
