Help regarding plotting of graphs

I need to plot points from 10^1 to 10^99 with a scale of 1000.
I am new to matlab. So, I know that we plot using linspace. How to do this?
%Like below?
y = linspace(10^/1, 10^99, 1000);

With those ranges and magnitudes, the logspace funciton would be the better option —
t = logspace(1, 99, 1000);
y = exp(-1E-49*t).*sin(2*pi*t*0.001/numel(t));
figure
plot(t,y)
grid
figure
semilogx(t,y)
grid
