Anand, like Rik suggested - I would recommened creating a File Exchange (FEX) submission.
Do remember that adding documentation, help examples (and tests if possible) are almost as important as the algorithm to enable others to use and leverage your work.
Any MATLAB user can download and use a FEX submission, so you will be able to share you work with all MATLAB users.
