hi i used matlab simulink to simulate the impact of synchronous generator on 11 kv distributed network . my problem is when i started to run the simulation the transient response for the network and slso for the machine is very high current and stablized after 10 sec at very large value for both the machine and the network this current , i used the synchronous generator from demo example and the machine rating is 1.8 MVA i need the answer about why the stablizing current for bothe Network and generator is high best regard eng heba

Are you using a discretised system? if so look at the limitations section on the synchronous generator help page.
you may need to add a load to the system
