Hello Can any one give me a sample Program image matching based on shape and texture of the object? i really need it guys :( thank you so much for those who will help me. i will appreciated it so much :*

Can you be more specific? Are you trying to detect a specific object in a scene? Are you trying to recognize the object as a member of a category? What sort of objects are you looking at?

You might also look at morphometrics: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morphometrics

thankyou so much again Image Analyst :) but do you have an existing program of image matching based on shape and texture? can you send it to me? so i can study the code and apply it in my project?:) thankyou so much again :) i really appreciated all your effort in helping me.

I don't think I have anything on texture but you can check my File Exchange for selection on size and color. You can use stdfilt() and entropyfilt() to get texture images, then you can threshold them to get regions of different texture levels.

MATLAB is a good program. For a leaf recognition application, you're going to have to write that yourself because I don't think there's anything that specific built in to MATLAB. The Computer Vision System Toolbox has several tools that might be useful for you.
