How can I group similar parts of images together with a for loop?

I have a code that finds areas with a specific repeating pattern which is represented by a symbol,Omega, with this knowledge can I make an algorithm to group all of the appropriate omega values using a for or if loop function? If so, where do I start?

Where would you be getting the other omega values? From the same image, or from different image files, in which case you can use the FAQ?
