Issue with plotting lines and importing into Illustrator

I have created a histogram figure I'm fairly happy with, but it seems to be missing black lines on the different plots and on the bars themselves. Also, when I import it into Illustrator (which usually works well with a .eps extension) it looks pixelated and odd (see below). Any suggestions?
