Is it not possible to create a web app using matlab 2018 b?

I am wondering whether I have to upgrade to newer versions of Matlab if I want to share my work as a web app with somebody, is it not possible to do with matlab 2018b..?

According to the Release Notes Web App Compiler was introduced in MATLAB Compiler in release R2018a.

What is grey? Are you looking at the Apps tab in the Toolstrip and seeing the Web App Compiler app greyed out?
Do you have MATLAB Compiler (which is an add-on product, not part of MATLAB itself) installed and licensed? Check the output of the ver function to check if it's installed and check with your license administrator to check if it's licensed.
