No. While they are mathematically the same, there is no presumption that a computer does mathematics. Odds are, this is what the homework assignment was designed to do, to teach you that essential fact.
Computers yield an approximate result, using floating point arithmetic. But in fact, any two computations done in a different sequence can yield results that while mathematically the same in theory, are not the same down to the least significant bit.
