How do I interface Agilent Power Supply to Simulink?

Hello,

I am trying to interface an Agilent E3648A Dual Output DC Power Supply to Simulink.

I was able to connect and control it fine using the tmtool and the .mdd I downloaded from the agilent website.

I would ultimately like to drive commands from Simulink, does anyone have an elegant way of doing this? Or good material to begin with?

Ideally I'd like to use the .mmd format of passing data set(deviceObj, 'enable', etc.)

Do I have to do an ascii decode of the messages I want to send to the PS?
