How to give equal/more weight/percentage between two times?

Hi everyone,

I am using two satellite datasets. I have matched date but I am facing problem in collocating their time.

Data1 is 6 hourly: 00,06,12,18

Data2 is after every 5 minutes.

I want that if Data2 is at 0300 hrs both 0000 hrs (Data1) and 0600 hrs (Data1) to contribute equally (50% from 0000 and 50% from 0600). And if Data2 is at 0500/0505/0510 more contribution should be from 0600 hrs of Data1 and less from 0000 hrs. Is interpolation required here?

I would really appreciate if someone can give any suggestion about the above problem. Thank you
