Hi,
I am working on an 3 pool setup and need to design a simulator using the st. Venant equations. The pools are rectangular with area up to 2 square meters. Have somebody implemented the equations and maybe give some directions?

Don't try to program the numerical method on your own. Use a hyperbolic solver to do this for you. I recommend CLAWPACK:

Thank you for the answer. Is this only for python or it can run in MATLAB as well.

I know of PYTHON and FORTRAN. MATLAB seems to be for plotting only.
