How do I get a symbolic variable into the maple workspace

I have a 5x1 symbolic array. How could I get this into the maple work space. I know there is a maple command but I am having a hard time figuring it out.

Generally speaking, subs(). You might have to combine that with Maple's assign() depending on what you are trying to do.
