Initializing Matlab Function in Simulink

In my Simulink simulation, I use the Matlab function block to model my Plant. The output of the plant goes to model my sensors, eventually and control is calcualted and the loops is closed with the Plant. When i try running the simulation, I get errors in the Plant that indicate none of my inputs are being populated. I tried the initfcn property and got the same error. I even added a paramter input that would generate the input the first time and that logic doesn't help. Any suggestions?

If possible a screen caputre of your block diagram and the error message would be helpful, at a minimum.
Images can be inserted using the paper clip icon.
