Hello,
What is the effect of the inertia parameter used in the PMSM block? I can not see in the docs page.
This is the docs page:
https://www.mathworks.com/help/physmod/sps/ref/pmsm.html#mw_bf32bac6-6b08-4564-bfef-e1e30255131e
Thanks

The inertia includes the inertia of the load plus the inertia of the motor and any other rotating components (such as couplings or pulleys) between the motor and the load. In motor control applications, inertia is generally given as J.
Inertia is the resistance to rotational acceleration or deceleration.
As T = J * α, where T = torque, J = inertia, α = angular acceleration.
The higher the inertia of the rotor, the more torque, and power that needs to be supplied or absorbed by the motor drive to enable rapid acceleration and deceleration in servo applications to achieve a fast dynamic response.

Thanks for your reply, but I am asking how the inertia value is used in the PMSM block. I can't look into the PMSM block, so I can't see the calculations between the phase current inputs and torque, speed, etc. output. I am curious about the input and output equations to see how the inertia parameter affects the system.
Thanks for your answer again.
