Will generating an alert API key reset the USER API key?

I want to generate an alert API key but want to confirm it won't reset the USER API key. I get warnings asking if I am sure, and also found some documentation stating the API key will need to be updated in any code.

The alert API key and user API key are seperate. Genenrating an alert API key wil not change your user API key.
