If MATLAB is already installed:
Within the MATLAB command type "license" and hit enter to view your License number in the output.
If MATLAB is not installed:
On the My Account page you will see there is a "My Software" section that lists up to 5 License numbers. If you are linked to more than 5 licenses click on the "View additional Licenses or Trials" link to see the full list of licenses you are linked to.
The License Center allows you view all the Licenses associated your MathWorks Account. If you still do not see any Licenses in the License Center:
- Make sure you are viewing the correct section of the License Center. Trial Licenses are also listed within the "Trials" section of the License Center.
- You may be logged in with a different email address than the one your License is linked to. It is not unusual for people to have multiple MathWorks Accounts, e.g. one for work and one for school. Click on your name in the upper right hand corner of the screen to confirm that the account you are logged in is the correct email address.
- Your browser may have stale cache data or old cookies. Clear your browser cache, or sign in using a different web browser. We recommend using the browser Chrome.
Alternatively, if you have received a License File from your License Administrator, the File may contain the License number. Open the License File with plain text editor; the License number should be near the top of the File:

If you are still unable to determine your License number, speak with the members of your organization responsible for Software License Management. With some MATLAB License types, associating users to the License is optional, and in this case the License would not appear in your License Center.
