wireless waveform generator and other Apps freezing on M1 Mac

Matlab R2022a on M1 Mac Montery. When I was trying to edit the digit parameters in the wireless waveform generator app, it froze. tried other apps too, some are ramdomly freezing.
Is there any fix or work around?
