Trying to combine video and plot

I would like to combine data with a video. I need to work out the frames correctly but that is another discussion. The problem I run into using subplot() is that my plots do not get plotted when I try adding another subplot() such as an image. I am using getframe() to save each frame of the plot. I can save the plot and the video separately but not at the same time.
