How to convert number to real number?

7 次查看(过去 30 天)
Dear all,
My code calculates the MSE as a result
perf =
1.1970e-011
How I convert this type of number to real or some "normal" number?
Thank you for your answers.

This is a real number. Just small enough that scientific notation was employed to display it, to avoid a plethora of zeros. There is NOTHING abnormal about it.
1.1970e-011 == 1.1970 * 10^(-11)
help format
For the second time recently, I find myself amazed that kids no longer learn what scientific notation is in school anymore.

It begs the question: if 1.1970e-011 written as a "normal" number would be 0.00000000001197, how should they then write 7e-303 ?
I would love to read an astronomy report written by that class!
