6 DOF vision based sensory system

Hello,
I am preparing a research on a 6 DOF vision based sensing system, the target is to get the 3 rotations and the 3 translations between any 2 images captured from video sequence in real time with high accuracy. The problem is that I got many papers illustrating the topic and how to reach the solution but could not verify any may be the problem is due to my little knowledge about DIP as I only studied it for 6 months + online for another 9 months started January 2011. so I just need a clue, I assure you that I am not a lazy one but what can I say, I do not know how to start. Can any one help me? Thank you, Abeer Sabry
