Your license file is missing the SERVER and probably DAEMON lines. Add them manually to the file.

Note: this message only appears when the license file is detected as being configured for a license server rather than as a Named User license or similar.
Note: one of the reasons that this message can unexpectedly appear is if the user is using a cracked version of MATLAB
