how to plot exponential function

I am a novice user of matlab. I want to plot a exponenetail function, but failed. Could you let me know what error I have?
x = (10^-12:100:50);
y = (x ./ 0.026^2) .* (exp(-x ./ 0.026));
plot(x, y)
