API for MATLAB Mobile Connector

Hello, I am interested in experimenting with controlling MATLAB from a mobile device like the mobile app for iOS does - but for other devices (such as android, meego, or others). Is there a API interface or network protocol description for the connector?

The MATLAB Connector API is currently undocumented. There are no immediate plans to change this.

Pity. Is it because officially supporting such an interface would be too involved? If so can the Java source be made available for (unsupported) experimentation?
