save image sequencely

guys, do you know how to save image sequencely in matlab? i know how to save an image to a folder for example img is the image then this is the code:
imwrite(img,'My Documents\f1.jpg');
for example i have saved one image named='f1.jpg' into the folder, if i execute the program again and want to save another image, do you guys know how to name it into 'f2.jpg' and so on (f3.jpg if f2.jpg already existed)? so it wont replace the existing image?
