Unexpected Artifacts During Current Measurment in Simulink

1 次查看(过去 30 天)
Hello everyone,
I am trying to create a simulation of a 20kV three phase grid/transmission line. At the end of the line, all voltages seems to be fine but when I try to measure the currents there is something weird going on. At several points during the sine signal, weird and unexpected peaks seems to appear. I will upload the currents' image and I hope it will be helpful.
Thank you for your time!

Hello Dimitrios,
As per my understanding, you want to troubleshoot the unexpected peaks in the measured currents.
Please note that when analysing the image of the current waveform, it's important to consider a few potential causes for these unexpected peaks. Here are potential causes for such unexpected behaviour of waveform:
  • Transient effects such as inrush currents, switching transients, or sudden load changes can cause unexpected peaks in the current waveform.
  • Harmonics: Non-linear loads or power electronic devices can introduce harmonic currents into the system, especially if the system is not well-filtered.
  • Faults in the system, such as short circuits or voltage disturbances, can result in abnormal current behaviour.
  • It is essential to ensure that the measurement equipment is functioning correctly and is properly calibrated.
  • There might be issues with the simulation model itself, such as incorrect component parameters, improper modelling of non-linear elements, or inaccuracies in the control systems.
By addressing these potential causes, you can work towards identifying and resolving the unexpected peaks in the current waveform. If you have specific data or additional details about the simulation setup, feel free to share them for further assistance.
