STM32F407VGT6U (DISC1) External mode : Could not connect to target application: XCP internal error: timeout expired, in response to XCP CONNECT command

Hello guys!
I'm trying to use external mode with STM32F407VGT6U(older version of this discovery board) and Embedded Coder Support Package for STMicroelectronics STM32 Processors, I'm running on Matlab r2023a with all the support packages freshly installed(I have even tried different computers). I have attached some pictures with the configuration I used. The thing that bothers me is that I have successfully used external mode with another MCU(STM32F429I DISC1) with the same configuration steps in another cubemx project. The error message that I've been getting is :Could not connect to target application: XCP internal error: timeout expired, in response to XCP CONNECT command and Unable to connect to the 'STM32F4xx Based' target for 'Test'.
I have tried messing around with the ports in device manager, tried every USART available on this board. If you have any suggestions for me I would appreciate.

Try out the following –
  1. Check if the windows firewall is not blocking the application.
  2. Check if any forced update or reboot is possible for the application or support packages that may be involved. It may help.
