If you've already uninstalled MATLAB via the Control Panel and deleted any remaining MATLAB folders and files in your system but it still shows as installed on your computer, it's possible that there are still some residual files or registry entries that are preventing a clean reinstallation. Below are some steps that you can take to ensure MATLAB is completely uninstalled:
1.Manually delete any remaining MATLAB folders located in ‘AppData\Roaming’ or ‘AppData\Local’ folders.
2.Press the ‘Windows + R’ keys to open the Run dialog box, then type ‘regedit’ and press Enter. In the Registry Editor, navigate to ‘HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software’ and ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE’, and delete any keys related to MATLAB or MathWorks.
After completing above steps, restart your computer and try reinstalling MATLAB again.
