How do I segment the hippocampus from a preprocessed jpg image in the siggatal view?

Is there fuzzy c means codes or any code to segment the gray matter(hippocampus region) from the white matter in the attached photo? Please help. The hippocampus is the c-shape or narrow shape like structure in the image.
