Layout problem I need to fix

After I started using dark theme for matlab, it changed layout weirdly. 
how do I close the circled place?
Also when I open workspace variables and click in, it doenst popup in new window. It extends into workspace with new tab and shows variables inside the workspace. I want it to popup in new layout

I understand that you would want to change the layout in dark theme desktop, currently being shipped through MATLAB File Exchange.
Please note that this is currently a beta version that includes a preview for the upcoming features.
