Numerical error for same MATLAB function but generated differently

I have two matlab functions, one generated using symbolic math and another hand coded as normal matlab function. So , my question is, if both the matlab function has same equations and parameters, then would there be any difference in results due to round of errors or accumulation of any numerical errors over the course of simulation time?
