Matlab deletes the .m file saved on one drive when I close the file on Matlab (Version 2019a).

For ease of access , I store my Matlab files on a one drive folder. But when I close the file in the editor, it automatically gets deleted and is sent to the One drive's recycle bin. Please help with this issue.

I understand that you are unable to retrieve your files saved in OneDrive after closing MATLAB (2019a). Please follow the steps below to help you solve the issue that you are facing:
  • Pause or Disable OneDrive Synchronization for MATLAB Folder
  • After disabling automatic synchronization, you can manually sync your OneDrive files when you need to by right clicking the OneDrive icon and selecting "Sync now" or using the OneDrive application.
  • Store MATLAB Files Outside of OneDrive
  • Regular Backups
Lastly, please ensure that you are using the latest versions of both OneDrive and MATLAB. Sometimes, updates include bug fixes and improvements that may address issues like the one you're facing.
