How do I use Individual license for Matlab and Simulink, but Network License for Simscape?

My company has an individual license for me for matlab and simulink, as well as network concurrent licenses for many products. The probelm is that the network concurrent licenses are limited (only 2), and the concurrent license has licenses for matlab, simulink, AND SIMSCAPE.
I'm the only person who uses Simscape; and so I'd like to use my individual license (company owned) for matlab and simulink; but then checkout the concurrent license for Simscape from the server; is this possible?
If I install using the .dat/.lic they gave me for the network license, then it forces me to try to checkout one of the concurrent matlab licenses which gives an eror due to the number of users exceeding 2. But no other users have checked out Simscape.
I'd like to be able to use my individual matlab and simulink licenses, but then use the concurrent simscape one from the network.
This is matlab 2023a (the network licenses).
Thanks.

"Note: In the license file locations, MATLAB will search for a license.dat first and then any .lic in alphabetical order."
Easiest way is to name your local license file as license.dat and the network license file as network.lic.
