Field-Oriented Control on FPGA SoC and Vivado Design Suite - HLx Editions - 2020.1

Hi everyone,
I'm writing from the University of Pisa, Italy, where I'm working on implementing Field-Oriented Control on FPGA SoC using the Motor Control Development Kit with Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ ZU2CG-1E MPSoC Module within the Matlab\Simulink environment (https://it.mathworks.com/help/soc/ug/foc-motor-controller-on-trenz-board.html). To implement and run the code on the hardware, the Vivado Design Suite - HLx Editions - 2020.1 version is required. However, when attempting to install this version, the following message appears:
" The installer could not connect to the internet to check if there is a newer version of Xilinx Design Tool available. Please verify connectivity and/or update proxy settings. "
On the other hand, downloading newer versions, such as Vivado Design Suite - HLx Editions - 2021.2, works fine. Unfortunately, the version required for my project is specifically 2020.1.
Is it possible to have this example https://it.mathworks.com/help/soc/ug/foc-motor-controller-on-trenz-board.html working with a version newer than Vivado Design Suite - HLx Editions - 2020.1 ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Aleksander,
in the current version of MATLAB R2023b we support Vivado 2022.1 for this Trenz Motor Control example. If you wait 1-2 weeks more you could try an updated example that is even using a PetaLinux image (before it was Buildroot). This will also work with newer Trenz board revisions than rev3. The version we most likely will support with MATLAB R2024a is Vivado 2023.1.
Best regards,
Tom
