Plotting London, UK on a map

Hello
I have the longitide and latitude of London, UK and I would like to plot it on a basic UK map.
I would like the city to have a dot and the name of the city next to the dot
Can somebody please help?
Please let me know if you need any more info.

You can try using the Mapping Toolbox if you have access. Here is a similar example:

I do not have access to this but thank you.
I have only just started to learn Matlab so my knowledge is very basic.
