怎么计算二维散点图的曲线曲折度？

使用plot()函数可以画出散点图像，但如何计算这个图像中曲线的曲折度呢？对了刚萨雷斯的《数字图像处理》（第四版）的图像特征中斜率链码和曲折度计算（P590和P599~P600，中文版），但是相应如何编程要点不清楚如何写，求指点一二。
