- Ensure the version supports necessary toolboxes like Simulink, Control System Toolbox, and Motor Control Blockset;
- Check for compatibility with specific libraries or functions required for the X-MRAS speed estimator; and,
- Be aware that newer MATLAB versions often offer performance improvements and additional features.
MATLAB R2024a release includes the latest updates and enhancements that could be beneficial for advanced modeling and simulation tasks. However, versions from R2021a onwards should generally be suitable for this type of work.
