How to implement a simple autopilot in aircraft model ?

hello i am a newbie and have to implement autopilot in an aircraft model for my university project. it should be able of 3-DOF (being able to control roll, pitch and yaw for right direction). any guidance about it ?

You can find an example of a "three-loop autopilot" that uses a three-degree-of-freedom model at the following link to the documentation:
