How to create an external plot in live editor?

I want to to create external plots and tiled plots on the PC screen to the left so I don't have to keep using the pop out buttons. Tiled plots are too small to see and if your are editing at the top and the plots are at the bottom of the file that's a lot of scrolling.

f.Visible = 'on'; % This sets the external figure visibility to on
alternatively, use uifigure.
f = uifigure('HandleVisibility','on')
