- Ensure you have a 3D model for both the vehicle and the trailer. You can either create these models within RoadRunner or import them from external 3D modeling tools.
- In RoadRunner, you can configure the vehicle and trailer as separate entities and then use the software's linking or attachment features to connect them.
- Use RoadRunner’s vehicle dynamics settings to define how the vehicle and trailer interact. This includes specifying parameters like articulation points, hitch points, and dynamic behaviors.
- Run the simulation to animate the vehicle and trailer. RoadRunner will allow you to visualize how the vehicle and trailer move through the scene according to the defined dynamics and scenario.

Hello there,
I am working on automated driving problem. I am using the workflow that runs co-simulation between Simulink and RoadRunner. The former is used to simulate the vehicle dynamics, control, and decision making, and the latter is used to create scenes, driving scenarios, and get sensor data.
My question is: can I animate a vehicle with a trailer connected to it in RoadRunner?
I tried to spawn another box vehilce behind the ego vehicle, but I was not successful, as the second vehicle must have its own Simulink file. Such limiting would require me to somehow export the vehicle pose and trailer angle from the main Simulink file to the second one.
Kind regards, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Yes, you can animate a vehicle with a trailer connected to it in RoadRunner. Here's a general outline to achieve this:
Hope it helps!
